I’ve been playing on PlayStation 5 Pro for a month and this has been my experience, on video

The new Playstation 5 Pro has been with us for a little over a month now and the time has come to evaluate, in a more relaxed way, what the experience with it is like. It is a console that arrives embroiled in controversy for several reasons, but mainly for two: its price (800 euros) and that it only supports digital games, unless we buy the disc reader separately, which then increases its price to 920 euros.

Sony’s proposal is simple: more power, better ray tracing and rescaled by artificial intelligence. Basically, the console allows us to play certain games optimized with the quality of the PlayStation 5 quality mode, but at 60 frames per second. However, it is always possible to play at the highest possible graphic quality, but at 30 FPS.

24 years ago the PS2 was launched. It was so powerful that Japan did not want to export it for fear that it would be used for military weapons.

During these days we have discovered, as we confirmed in the analysis, that the real gain, where the new Japanese console stands out, is in the rate of frames per second. The difference in sharpness between the new Pro performance and Pro quality modes is noticeable, but in very specific details and certain reflections that can go unnoticed during games, but fluidity does make a difference.

In the video above you have a more detailed analysis, as well as gameplay in different qualities so you can judge the differences for yourself. Whether or not the console is worth it is something that will depend on each person’s pocketbook and priorities, but the reality is that its high price is a fairly important barrier to entry that does not always justify the improvements in terms of power.
